What is 7's?
Rugby Sevens is a variation of union rugby, which is a high-precision, fast paced game where each team fields seven players. Each match consists of two 7-minute halves. Sevens is mostly played in tournaments where morning pool play determines seeding for an afternoon knockout format.
Who
U18, U14, and U12 boys—open to both Barbarians and non-club players. While union rugby offers a role for every player, sevens demands exceptional fitness, requiring repeated sprinting and accurate long passes at full speed. Practices will focus on advanced skills and tactics for athletes with strong catching, passing, open-field tackling, and a balance of speed and endurance.
